Mr. S Carroll, Deputy Headteacher, is responsible for the academic performance of students at Broadway Academy. Mr Carroll arrived at Broadway Academy in the Easter of 2013 and has previously worked in two different schools set in very different contexts. He taught at Great Barr School and then was a successful Head of History and Sociology at Q3 Academy, a key member of the team who helped transform the Academy to one of the highest performing in Sandwell before moving to Broadway. Since arriving at Broadway he has had a number of roles including Director of Humanities, Key Stage 3 behaviour and leader of school data and assessment.  Mr Carroll came into education sector in 2006 after four years working as an Operations Manager for a security company. Mr Carroll is a proud Brummie and is passionate about the community that he serves and of the power of education in transforming lives and developing character in students so that they can succeed in the modern world. Mr Carroll has a History degree and has recently completed a masters in Educational Leadership
