Partnership with Radley College

Partnership with Radley College

I am delighted that two of our year 11 boys have secured scholarships at Radley College for the sixth form as a result of our ongoing partnership with Radley. The ongoing proactive Broadway / Radley partnership has had a huge impact throughout Broadway with both staff and students. In keeping with the Broadway and Radley ethos this has all been completed in a positive and very understated way. ‘Relationships’ have been developed and have been mutually supportive.

The focus of the Radley/ Broadway partnership is on the following: academic enrichment, work with primaries and co-curricular activities. We have had numerous staff visits/exchanges involving sharing of good practice with teaching and support staff. Radley and Broadway staff have observed practice in classrooms; they have liaised at department, senior

and also at governance level. Students and staff have worked together on various leadership and curriculum projects. Our Year 11 students have hugely benefited from a Maths mentoring programme involving Radley Sixth Form students. Geography students, from both schools, have worked on common projects involving virtual lectures from Patagonia. Broadway governors, staff and students hugely benefited from Radley’s virtual lectures during lock-down.

Radley’s senior team have been very generous in their advice and support and we are working with their Senior Team to re-energise and re-structure our House System. The partnership is highly aspirational, supportive, challenging and will hopefully continue to benefit both institutions.

A huge thank you to John Moule, Radley governors, John Sparks, the Radley and Broadway staff for committing whole heartedly to making the partnership such a success.
