Mrs C Cordon, joined Broadway Academy in September 2012. Mrs Cordon’s career started as a Geography teacher and Aimhigher coordinator at Joseph Leckie Community Technology College, where after just two years she was promoted to Head of Geography at Aston Manor Academy and after a further two years she became Head of Humanities and part of the teaching and learning team for raising the quality of teaching across the school.
Since joining Broadway Academy, Mrs Cordon has had a variety of different roles including Director of Humanities, Year 8 behaviour, Responsibility for Teaching and Learning and Growth Mindset. However, her current focus is on the ‘Deep Experience’ of students through responsibility for SRE agenda, PSHEE curriculum, extra-curricular opportunities, student leadership, student voice, careers education and work experience programme, primary liaison, primary transition and key stage 3 curriculum as well supporting staff through the NQT programme and staff absence. Mrs Cordon holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Liverpool, PGCE from the University of Birmingham, NPQSL from Liverpool Edge Hill University and is also a qualified Designated Safeguarding Lead.
